The Wasteland Revue was made up from short sketches and scenes from plays gathered from a variety of sources, both contemporary and classic. It wasn't initially designed as a show, but evolved into one as the group decided they would like to perform the pieces they were working on. Additional scenes were added to carry some of the storylines through to tentative conclusions and give continuity and interest to the characters and their development. So it was perhaps a suprise to discover that the Wasteland Revue worked extremely well as a show! The Revue was set in a 'wasteland', a neutral location that acted as a universal meeting place for the characters in each story or sketch. Music was composed especially for the show, so each storyline had its own 'theme' to act as an introduction.
The show received excellent reviews from the Ledbury Reporter and the local Bromyard publication 'Off the Record'.
