Bromyard has had a theatre group since 1950. Since 1991 it has enjoyed a purpose built, designed theatre at its present location and is one of the attractive features of the town. It provides a wealth of opportunity and entertainment for all ages, a Centre for live performing arts.
The Conquest offers many kinds of entertainment: plays, variety, musicals, operetta, ballet, pantomime and concerts, and is a favourite with many professional groups and performers. The Conquest also supports an active and vibrant youth theatre
Apart from the magic of live performances and films, the Conquest also provides conference and meeting facilities, visual art exhibitions and around 1000 costumes available for hire.
The auditorium with raked seating of plush velvet makes it possible for everyone to have an excellent view of the stage in total comfort. An induction loop system is fitted to aid the hard of hearing and the theatre has full disabled facilities. The Conquest also has its own licensed bar and coffee bar.
